Where We Travel
Our shop sits at 2603 Camino Ramon, San Ramon, CA 94583, and most of our calls come from within a few miles of there. Camino Tassajara, Blackhawk, and Norris Canyon are each about 3 miles out, so those jobs are a short run for us. We also take calls from Diablo (5 miles) and Alamo (8 miles), and we'll travel as far as Castro Valley, Fairview, or San Miguel when the schedule allows.
The service area stretches wider than that, out to Moraga, Clayton, Union City, Lafayette, and even Pleasant Hill and Pittsburg on a given week, but the closer jobs get priority for same-day slots. If you're not sure whether your address falls inside our normal run, call and ask. We'd rather tell you straight than have you wait on a truck that's an hour out.

The Work We Take On
We work on garage doors and the hardware that runs them: torsion and extension springs, openers, tracks, rollers, cables, and panels. A lot of the housing in this part of the county went up between the 1960s and 70s, with the broader stock running from 1938 to 2008 and a median build year around 1973 - so we see a fair amount of original torsion hardware that's simply worn out, plus newer openers bolted onto older doors that were never matched to them.
What we don't do is pretend every door is worth saving. If a panel is rusted through or the track is bent past true, replacement is usually cheaper over time than chasing repairs on it, and we'll say so. Climate here runs mild with the occasional freeze, which isn't hard on hardware the way harsher winters are, but age and daily use still wear out springs and rollers on their own schedule. We'll tell you what we find and what it actually needs - not the longest list of parts.
Door stuck open or won’t close?
A garage door that won’t close leaves your home open. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll help you figure out the fastest way to get it secured.

Frequently asked
Straight answers about garage door repair in San Ramon. Still unsure? Ask us directly.
01My house was built in the 1960s, does that affect what repair I need?
Often yes. Houses from that era in this area tend to have older torsion spring setups and track spacing that newer universal parts don't always match cleanly. We check the hardware generation before quoting so you're not paying for a part that won't fit right.
02Do you give a price over the phone?
Not usually. Spring and cable jobs vary enough by door size and hardware age that we quote on site after a look, so the number you get is accurate rather than a guess that changes once we open the panel.
03How far out do you go?
We cover San Ramon and the surrounding valley out to around 20 miles, including areas like Blackhawk, Alamo, Lafayette, and Mountain View. If your street isn't on our list, call and we'll tell you straight whether it's in range.
04What if my opener is discontinued?
That happens on older houses in this area. If the model's out of production, we may need to order a part, which can push past a same-day fix. We'll tell you that before starting work, not after.
